Party time!

Our Christmas party was such great fun!  We asked our ladies to bring along some show and tell from throughout the year, so it was lovely to see all the creative quilts and runners that our ladies had created.

I made this retro pineapple tree that I found on Pinterest.  One of our ladies also made these cute strawberries and cream santas.  I have seen these santas on Pinterest before, they were very popular.

So here I am just thanking everyone for coming along and supporting the shop over the past year.  I made my skirt especially for the party.  It is the "Reversible Wrap" by Monica Poole of MoonShine Design.

This is June's quilt that she made using pirate fabric.

Another quilt made by June for her newest Grandchild.  I just love the freshness of this quilt.  She had given this quilt and borrowed it back just for the party.

Lynne's African quilt was made using Thangles and was hand quilted with black crochet cotton.

And here is the back.

May made this quilt with a bali pop.

Here is Trish with her quilt made with the "Spot The Dog" pattern by Monica Poole of MoonShine Design.

Here is Carol with her machine embroidered quilt.  Carol had only started doing machine embroidery this year and she continues to impress us with the amount of beautiful quilts she has been making.

Pamela is nearing completion of her mosaic quilt.  This quilt as you go project has been a block of the month at the shop over this year.  Each month a group of ladies has made a different coloured block and are now up to assembly.  Pamela is going to make a pattern for this quilt which will be available in the early new year.

This is the back of the Mosaic quilt.  This is a great quilt as you go project.

Carolyn is practicing her free motion quilting skills after her workshop with Deborah Louie.  She has made this table runner to get in some more practice.

Erina has made a lovely quilt with a jelly roll and some suffolk puff flowers.

Here is Carolyn again with a lovely quilt made with aboriginal fabrics.  This quilt is just amazing.

Jackie has a stunning Kaffe Fassett hexagon quilt.

Here is my Kaffe Fassett quilt.

Here I am with my Mum helping me show it around to all the ladies.

Christine won our lucky door prize.

These beautiful faces belong to some of our Tuesday ladies.  Erina, Trish, Vernette, Dee and Kath who all enjoy sewing with tutor Pamela.  Overall a lovely night with wonderful ladies.

Happy Stitching! Kimz Team x
